L'intervista è stata trasmessa in diretta lo scorso 14 giugno dall'emittente radiofonica di Vancouver "RJ1200", durante il programma "Immagine Italia" condotto da Vito Bruno, Componente del Consiglio Generale dei Pugliesi nel Mondo (CGPM) e Presidente della Federazione Pugliese della British Columbia (Canada). Cogliamo l'occasione per augurare buon lavoro al Presidente Emiliano a nome di tutte le comunità di pugliesi nel mondo!

Il Made in Puglia chiude l'anno 2013 con un altro grande successo,nell'ovest del Canada, grazie alla Federazione Pugliese della British Columbia che durante il West Coast Christmas Show & Marketplace in Abbotsford ha portato a far conoscere, degustare e acquistare le eccellenze dell'agroalimentare pugliese.
Il padiglione pugliese ha fatto ancora una volta la parte da leone, con la pasta,l'olio,taralli,olive,ecc. La partecipazione all'evento ha fatto conoscere la Puglia(the Heel of Italy)anche dal punto di vista turistico a tutti i visitatori (circa 14.000) che, affascinati dalle bellezze regionali,hanno inserito la Puglia nella lista dei posti da visitare in Italia.

COOKING WORKSHOP/SEMINAR FEATURING TOP CHEF FROM ITALY
ITALIAN CULTURAL CENTRE BALLROOM

By Invitation Only

About 30 – 40 guests specializing in the food industry(culinary students, chefs, restaurants, food importers) will be invited.
 
There will be two labs:

First Lab:  “La Carne dei Poveri” (The Meat of the Poor –  The Poorman’s Diet) – Dishes which consist of legumes paired with organic extra virgin olive oils.
Second Lab:  “Il Granaio d’Italia (The Granary of Italy) –  Low cost healthy eating pasta preparation.

DISCOVER THE TASTES, SIGHTS & SMELLS FROM THE REGION OF PUGLIA, ITALY

7:00pm – 9:00pm:  “Food & Wine Tasting”

A top chef from Puglia will be preparing a traditional pasta dish, guests will be able to view(and of course, taste!) a mozzarella making demonstration by a “Mastro Casaro”, sample other products which Puglia is famous for – olives, taralli, extra virgin olive oil, lampascioni(baby wild onions), artichokes, wine ……..) just to name a few.  It’ll be a tastebud sensation!

9:00pm – 10:00pm: ENTERTAINMENT

The group “Tarantula Garganica” will perform the traditional dance of Puglia “La Taranta”.  It’ll be a sensation from head to toe!

On Friday, April 3rd why not attend our Food Tasting and Food Fair event? Your five senses will come alive with passion as visitors make their way to a variety of sampling stations savouring the food and wine, smelling the succulent aromas of specialty dishes prepared on site and seeing the colourful labels of the products available from this region. Don’t be surprised if some of these products make it home with you because you will also have the opportunity to buy what you taste!!! This is open to the public and admission is free. The time – 10a.m. – 2p.m. & 7p.m. – 11p.m. in the TRATTORIA! See you there!

That’s not all!! On Saturday, April 4th is our big GALA evening. Why not continue your journey and join us in the Main Hall? You will enjoy a nine course dinner, five (5) bottles of wine per tables of 12 and then an Espresso – what a perfect way to end a perfect dinner!
